HERMITAGE, TN (September 2025) — Optics Capital Advisors is pleased to announce the sale of BAC Paving, Inc., a Middle Tennessee utility paving contractor, to Pave America, LLC. Optics Capital Advisors served as exclusive sell-side advisor to BAC Paving.

Founded in the late 1990s by Scotty and Claire Barnett, BAC Paving has built a reputation for quality workmanship, responsiveness, and integrity while serving municipal and state infrastructure clients throughout the greater Nashville area.
Under the Barnetts’ leadership, BAC Paving developed a strong team, a family culture, and a loyal customer base. The company has focused on precision and reliability in its projects while building an environment its employees value.
A Strategic Partnership for Growth¶
With the acquisition, Pave America expands its presence in the Nashville market and strengthens its utility-paving capabilities. The partnership brings BAC additional resources and scale while maintaining its culture and close-knit team environment.
Scotty and Claire Barnett will continue to lead BAC Paving as part of the Pave America family and retain a minority ownership stake in Pave America.
Scotty and BAC’s general manager are looking forward to operating with the support of a larger platform, including the added resources and capabilities to accelerate growth and further improve quality.
Claire is looking forward to the back-office support the partnership provides, the ability to focus on strategic initiatives and culture, and the opportunities the transaction creates for BAC’s people.
